When I decided to take part in a the DKNY Fragrance holiday shoot last month, the team and I were on really tight deadline and if it wasn't for Kristen and her staff at Angersteins Lighting we may have been left in trouble. (aka left. in. the. dark.)

The team not only helped find and install a few lights very quickly, but they also trusted in my "particular" taste. The first light we decided on was the Harding chandelier in bronze. It was an easy pick. Took one look at it and named it the mother of all chandeliers. It's got 48 bulbs, (48!) which seems intimidating for a dining area, but on a dimmer it's just perfect and was honestly the star of the shoot.

Bought myself a little gift this break and had to share. Kate Spade's Southport Ave Alessa.  I don't own any structured bags, they just aren't usually my style, but the pebbled leather on this one and the oversized tassel stopped me in my tracks. I know it's been all over my instagram too, but I just can't get enough of it. Going to step up my bag collection this year. Any faves of yours that I should know about?

Break is over, but I wasn't quite ready to get back to the office today. I'm working from my bed with some coffee (ok, a lot of coffee) and my sketchpad. I spent hours looking through inspiring images and plotting out the next year. I slipped on something cozy as I sipped-- I highly recommend this type of workspace if just for a day.

Even on my lounging days, I tend to wear a necklace or, in today's case, two. It makes me feel just a little more 'together' for the day. Here, my custom signature necklace by brevity in gold. My signature is my logo, so this is a really special piece to me. Pairing it with a rose gold necklace from CB Luxe...and my flannel pjs.
