Well, Vacation's over.

I am heading home and back to reality for a few weeks before I take off for CA.

I want to thank the team at Market Common for inviting me to come and work from one of their rooms for a while. I had such an amazing time and will share more photos as soon as I return, but here is a favorite.

I am taking two trips this summer, one to the beach (I'm there now, have you bee watching twitter, and instagram? ) and another to CA. Not that I ever want to burn, but I have a photo shoot when I return next week so I have to be extra diligent when taking care of my skin while on the road.  (I'm Italian and I love a little color, but the lobster look doesn't sell well.)

Beach Bound

My job takes me to some pretty cool places. This week, I am working on a campaign for Market Common Myrtle Beach. I leave for SC today and am so excited that I'll be working, and playing from Market Common for a bit. I can't wait to hit the beach and come home to some relaxation and retail therapy.  I was introduced to K.Slademade by one of the obviously stylish members of our blog team and I immediately fell in love with Kelsea's work. I worked with her to design my very own clutch a few weeks ago and it has finally arrived! I chose metallic gold (of course) with a mint green zipper, b/c it matches my mint green tip pouch...

...I am in love. And, I have to say that I thought the tip pouch would be smaller so am really happy about the size of it. Plus I am a fan of anything monogrammed so the little gold d.r.s. is my favorite part.

How much to you LOVE these clutches! Would it be too much if I also order a tassel for my keys?

While flipping through Allure, I saw a tube of eye-catching, bright fuschia lipstick.

The magazine suggested that the color looks beautiful when worn with only bronzer and mascara. 

After finding this photo online, I completely agree. Knew I could trust you Allure.

camera

I have been doing far more traveling than usual for work, and noticed that I have been taking far less photos than usual as well. I have a beautiful, and rather expensive, dslr that ends up staying in my hotel room every trip, simply because it's too much to carry when running around to meetings. I end up turning to my iphone when needed, but truthfully I am a camera person and I always come home regretting that I didn't somehow make the effort to lug around my camera bag.

I have decided to pick up a smaller camera for quick day trips that I can keep in my back pocket when I am on the go.

Does anyone have a small/thin camera they rely on to always take the perfect shot when there is no time to play around?

I work early.

By choice.

On summer mornings I like to sit outside with a coffee as the sun comes up. It's my time to weed through emails, check out pinterest, and get the day's projects all lined up. This minute alone, before the world is awake is my favorite time of day.

Morning coffee in the summer is becoming my only constant now that the schedule has been crazy.

Does anyone else make some time for this? If you are a creative person, I highly recommend it if you can make the time.

Alexis Russell

I saw the work of Alexis Russell a few weeks ago, and have been visiting the website here and there since. The way she mixes silver and gold is really pretty, and I love that while each piece seems rough they all remain delicate in style. I personally think really each would be easy to wear both in the summer and in the fall.

As you know I love a heavy winged liner, not for everyday of course. I am good with a pen b/c of my day job ;) but I am always cautious of liners without staying power (oily lids). 

Here are a few different liners I'll be trying...

Still loving a pop of rich pink when it's mixed it with different textures and colors.
