In a recent meeting, a client of mine said she was ready to switch over to her fall nail colors...Which got me thinking: "Are nail colors seasonal now that all of the fashion rules can finally be broken?" What will you be wearing this fall: Glitter, bright, dark, metallic- or just nude polish?

I looveee the metallic.. perfect for fall! Where did you find it?! Also, love this combo from cupcakes and cashmere http://cupcakesandcashmere.com/sparkled-lilac/#comments
By changing the base coat I think its fit for any season!
I usually prefer pale pink polish but I might go for some darker hues this fall. Why not, right? These are great inspirations!
i cant wait to start wearing dark polish again this fall. xoxo jillian:: cornflake dreams
I have been wearing bright colors all summer so those metallic colors look fun for fall!
I like wearing brights and metallics in the summer, dark in the fall (OPI midnight in moscow)and nude/taupes in the winter (Essie Madamoiselle and OPI You don't know Jacques)...but a true red is perfect all year long! My favorite is OPI Big Apple Red.
I can't decide! All of these images are leaving me very torn.
My fingernails are always nude to light pink but my toes are always a deep deep red. I think everything has a fashion rule now, unfortunately. It's us to the rest of us to break them haha.
i cant wait to experiment with this season's dark plum and red colors on my nails once the weather gets colder!
I love the glitter! Recently I have had a lot of fun playing with nail color combinations! (you can see a couple) My staples for fall are Essie "Wicked" and OPI "You Don't Know Jacques"

I do tend to wear certain colors depending on the season. I am looking forward to going back to dark blues, deep reds and a new fun metallic !

I plan on wearing them all...
I think nail colors can still be considered "seasonal" by some, but I tend to go with whatever I feel like wearing. Last week I did a black polish with glitter tips and loved it! This fall, I'm really looking forward to matte polishes and icy metallics. Love the inspiration!
I really like the metalic green nails

I'm not a nailpolish girl...only ever do dark grey or black but holy dinah...loving the metallics/sparkles
LOVING the glitter!! It seems so much less tacky than some of the glittery nails I've seen recently!
I like to switch to dark when the weather starts turning chilly!
I'm still wearing nude nails, but I've been eyeing some of the metallic colors my sister has been rocking lately. It looks great, and adds just enough edge to an otherwise very conservative person. SO ready for fall.
gosh it's SO hard to decide! i'm supposed to get a pedi today and i just don't even know!
xx ~ k
too cool!
I'm ready to start with a variety of colors - but I'm really loving metallic!
dark!!
I've been recently thinking the same. Do nail colors really have to be seasonal? I don't think so! I'm not ready to put away my pastels just yet. Xo

I love that green metallic! Do you know what it is? I wear pinks and corals in the spring and summer and in the fall, deep purples and Linken Park After Dark. Ballet Slippers all year round.
Currently, I'm wearing a Sonic Bloom, a bright coral color by Sally Hansen. For the fall, I plan to wear metallics, nudes and darks. Last year, Uptempo Plum and loved it. What color is the metallic polish that you have shown in the picture? I'd LOVE to try it for fall.
I love nudes, but the colors dont do much for my skin tone. Really digging the deep navy and the glitter for fun nights out!
