going dutch

I want to say a special thank you this morning to Style Republic Magazine for featuring me here today. It's so nice to have others in the creative biz appreciate my work, personal style and blog. You can follow Style Republic here on twitter, I did the fashion illustration you'll see there. ;) Now onto the post:

Recently I have been drawn to dutch doors.

Here are a few that Erika and I liked.
I'd like it even more if the trim inside were something unique to the door could open to a pop of surprising color!
oh. Double dutch:

Thoughts on the dutch door??

The prettiest dutch pancakes to ruin your diet, gelukkig- a pretty sleek dutch brand, a dutch bike...

These doors are great! Growing up, we had a dutch door in our living room that opened up to the back. We never used it but I loved it. It was great on spring and fall days to open up the top half to let fresh air in!

I love this, Dallas! I have this weird obsession with anything Dutch/Swedish/Finnish/Norwegian...they have such a fantastic design sensibility.

I am a huge fan of the dutch doors; especially since I live in Laguna Beach and every beach cottage welcomes you with a dutch door. THey are incredibly inviting and uplifting, from friends to the smell of the ocean air throughout the home. Love. xo Samantha
