living room #2

When deciding on a few key pieces for my new living room, I turned to my interior designer Megan for help. She put together an amazing mood board for the first room option and just sent over this second room as a #justincase option. I like that there is something sleek and masculine in it.

Here are both of Megan's amazing mood boards, you'll remember the second from a previous post. Which room is more your style and why?
couch, side table coffee table- abchome, all lighting- arteriors, rug- madelineweinrib
chairs and ottoman- Jayson home and garden , pillows and curtains - anthro

  1. oooh, that's hard.

i really like the first one because it's so classic and neutral. it definitely has a comfortable, lush feel.

but i also like the second one for the mixture of colors and textures. it has a bit more personality.

ultimately, if i had to make the decision think i would pick the first beacuse it's easier to add bolder pieces as you go along (or as your mood changes) without going overboard.

you have some great options to choose from!

  2. I like them both, but the top mood board is definitely more my style. I like straight, clean lines and muted tones in my house. It feels relaxing to me.

  4. Anything from ABCHome is perfection in my book. Love the color palette.

  5. I honestly love both, but I am drawn to teh first (bottom one). I looks more effortless, casual with an earthy, well traveled grown-up vibe. Not casual in a sense not formal, but casual in a not stuffy - you can put your feet on my fab coffee table its ok kinda way! ;)

I do love the Chandelier and rug from the new option, can you mix those in? :)

Can't wait to see how it turns out!

  7. I love the first one, classic with some glam. Not too much clutter or patterns.

  9. I like the furniture from the top one but the color from the bottom one. Also, I'd love to know where that striped rug is from. Love.

  11. So hard to choose...I loved the first one when you initially posted it, but I am leaning towards the second. It has a certain sophistication and luxurious feel that I am drawn to!

  12. the first mood board is perfect! It has the right amount of elegance to it without being overly stuffy. The chandelier is the best way to go. I can really see myself kicking back in this room!

  14. I think I like the top better, but I think that might be because I like that couch better. So disregard my opinion!

  17. at first glance, i'd say the second room is more my style

but the more i look at both mood boards, the more i think the first one is the one i'd like better overall. there's just something about the luxe moodiness of those rich dark colors with the glass chandelier...
