I have been doing far more traveling than usual for work, and noticed that I have been taking far less photos than usual as well. I have a beautiful, and rather expensive, dslr that ends up staying in my hotel room every trip, simply because it's too much to carry when running around to meetings. I end up turning to my iphone when needed, but truthfully I am a camera person and I always come home regretting that I didn't somehow make the effort to lug around my camera bag.

I have decided to pick up a smaller camera for quick day trips that I can keep in my back pocket when I am on the go.

Does anyone have a small/thin camera they rely on to always take the perfect shot when there is no time to play around?

I work early.

By choice.

On summer mornings I like to sit outside with a coffee as the sun comes up. It's my time to weed through emails, check out pinterest, and get the day's projects all lined up. This minute alone, before the world is awake is my favorite time of day.

Morning coffee in the summer is becoming my only constant now that the schedule has been crazy.

Does anyone else make some time for this? If you are a creative person, I highly recommend it if you can make the time.

Alexis Russell

I saw the work of Alexis Russell a few weeks ago, and have been visiting the website here and there since. The way she mixes silver and gold is really pretty, and I love that while each piece seems rough they all remain delicate in style. I personally think really each would be easy to wear both in the summer and in the fall.

As you know I love a heavy winged liner, not for everyday of course. I am good with a pen b/c of my day job ;) but I am always cautious of liners without staying power (oily lids). 

Here are a few different liners I'll be trying...

Still loving a pop of rich pink when it's mixed it with different textures and colors.
