This photo makes me want beaded earrings even more than the last time I posted.

Giveaway- from Fresco Towels and Dallas Shaw

I previously posted Fresco Towels on the blog. Their site caught my eye originally because of the unique patterns. I think the towels and terry bags are perfect for beach visits, and would be the only touch needed to a very simple and sleek bathroom.
I own one a terry bag from Fresco. and when it arrived I was surprised at it's size- it's very large. Perfect for piling in my towels, sunscreen, magazines all in one place . And if you're a mom- this is a great place to stash toys and books on the go.

Today- we are giving you the chance to give this Bohemian Damask Terry bag a try. If you follow the blog, visit Fresco towels and comment below to win. Good Luck!
(psst- want something from the site? Enter promo code: Dallas at fresco towels
and receive 20% off on tote bags!)

Let's Design Together: Amanda Teal

So far I have a desk, chair, and rugs in the new office space. This week, I turned to Amanda Teal to help take a look at my personal style and suggest some perfect accessories for my place. After looking through my website and blog she told me I should seek out the following items:
Agate bookends to hold magazines or binders , Burlap vases for larger supplies...paint brushes, markers etc , Mercury votives to place smaller supplies...pens, pencils, Lucite trays to holds paper , sketches, mail, etc, West Elm Boxes for anything really, Lotus bowls for rubber bands, paperclips
and a John Derian Paperweight.

I took her up on that. Here is what I found
mercury glass at west elm, photo dwellers w/out decorators
agate bookends from the evolution store & royale minerals

 west elm  assorted boxes
The perfect lotus bowls from Whitney Smith
Burlap covered vases at Jayson Home and Garden
and I switched out the John Derian paperweight for one like this little beauty.

speaking on unexpected pops of color...

makeup inspiration

This model makes the coral eyeshadow that's been popping up everywhere look good...

but what are your thoughts on the unexpected pop of color on your own eyelid?
Would you actually try this new look? Is it something you have already tried,
or do you need to muster up some courage?

Stumbled upon Tulu textiles this week while searching for pillows.

 Loving the pink tassled scarf.

Lili Bermuda

Recently, Isabelle Ramsay-Brackstone, the owner of Lili Bermuda, took the time to tell me a little bit about their one of a kind perfumery and fragrances. I have been wearing pink for a week straight now, which is rare for me (I change fragrance like I change my shoes), and I cannot wait to try another scent from her shop.
As you already know, I really enjoy products that are unique-which is why this brand spoke to me. I additionally loved learning about the process of how each perfume is made by hand in Bermuda.

Thank you Isabelle, now every time I smell my wrist, I am now dreaming of a trip to St. George.

If you don't live in Bermuda- it's okay. You can shop here.
added bonus: on the website you'll find tips on finding the right perfume when gift giving. "Lighter skin and hair people tend to prefer lighter perfumes..."

Giveaway- from Vovito Candles , Molla Space and Dallas Shaw

Congrats to Colleen (collifornia) to for winning the Joss and Main e-spree (winner for the Tiffany Chou necklace will be selected today as well!)

Today for blog followers, a giveaway from Vovito Candles AND Molla Space (below)

I always have a candle lit in the office while I work, no matter what the weather, time or temp. I am personally drawn to vanilla/coconut or light floral fragrances. Vovito carries endless candle styles and scents, but I really love the aromatic and french styles.
To enter, visit vovito's website and choose which fragrance you like the best. Vovito will send the winner the scent that fits your style best (I love the vanilla bergamot blossom- it's very rich in scent).

Because I always keep a candle lit, that grill lighter was making all to many appearances in my living room, so I decided to grab a simple sleek lighter that I could leave out on my desk. I have the gold Queue from MollaSpace (it comes in many colors, but I like the simple metallic best) and it sits right by my candles.
Today's giveaway is special b/c you also win a Queue metal stick lighter from Molla Space

To enter leave a comment stating which scent of vovito you would like best, and where you'd keep your Queue Lighter!

I kind of have a thing for burlap right now. I don't have any of it i my home, but find I am drawn to it whenever I visit stores. I love the idea of wrapping flowers in it. If I did bring it into the home I personally would need to mix it with something - most likely lace.

Maybe something I'll think about for holiday season...
seems very rustic and would look great with lights and sparkles.

Let's Design Together: Tilly Maison

Still waiting for our beautiful rug to make thier way here- but moving fwd in our office project, we invited Carolyn from Tilly Maison to choose a few options next.
Tilly Maison is filled with striped and sleek trays in every shade.  I have been dying to add one to my place for quite some time. Which is your favorite here? I am leaning toward the very bottom image for this space- love an unexpected pop of color.

A beautiful mess

I just returned home from a photo shoot in NY and will post some behind the scenes shots of that next week. While spending some time at Jack Studios with the Lucky magazine staff and the team from White House Black Market, I got to talk about making a career out of fashion illustration and also talk about my personal style and blog.

Until I can tell you more, here is something I can share.
A shot of my desk today. Messy, but pretty.

some summer style...

sogno,  marni bag, reed krakoff sandal, lizzie fortunado earrings, obakki blouse

I also think summer is the perfect time for less refined jewelry.
In addition the the sogno necklaces above- here are some pretty handmade necklaces.

Let's Design Together: Your turn

I first want to thank you for sharing your thoughts so far on our new office. You have helped add a large piece with the screen, helped solve branding challenges with the labels, and then helped us layer while still staying light and bright.

As we wait for the rugs to be delivered for the office, we are left with a few breathtaking items- and a dilemma. How do you disguise electronics- scanner, printer, and other artist needs (pencil sharpener, camera, etc) in an small office space. This week, we turn to you for your ideas. Please comment or link below!! Appreciate your thoughts.
