New work / Poppy

I have always loved the color Poppy... (and the name while we are on the subject) so when I did this painting for the press kits a few months ago- of course I used one of my favorite colors.

The original is now available for sale- although it will be hard to see her go.
buy her on etsy or email dallasshawdesign@gmail.com

I love this. The skirt is gorgeous and I love the combination of nude and red, I never really thought to combine those colors before (in fact, I never wear red because I think it's too flashy for me). I definitely want to give it a try now.
I love your blog and you have inspired me so much. Please let me know what you think and if you have any advice how to improve it.

Love the big splash of color. Very poppy-licious. Do you work with ink or watercolor?
