whats up and bumble and bumble

Couple Thank-yous today to
Sarah
Christine
Letitia
for featuring me and my work! Also a huge thank you to all of you photographers who commented to a below post and responded otherwise. I got the new canvases photographed yesterday. It was very difficult in my given just-relocated, and relocating-again-in-July situation. However, I did it! I always get things done thanks to all of you!
I cannot wait to show you all of the photos this week!! For now...

as you can tell, I use a wooden surface and a plain backdrop. I took the paintings from a billion angles (buyers always request a several). I also found out in my chats that magazines do not like props in the shots- so, they were removed- a note to other artists reading. And I am having the website edited as I type! THANK YOU SO MUCH for you guidance.

Onto some more thoughts for the day. I'm growing out a haircut and there is no hair product I love more than bumble and bumble. I could be a spokesperson. Checkout their new photos of pretty, and messy waves. Yay spring!

I know I've said it before but I don't go a day without the surf spray...

i'm growing my hair out, slowly but surely and as soon as it's long enough, i'm going to do the beach waves (until then, i'm living w/the in-between awkward hair, gotta love it.)

Love these hair models, just wish I could get mine to do something remotely similar. I just had it cut last week and now it seems to have a mind of it's own...agh, hair, the bane of my existence!

Okay Dallas, I need your expert advice . . . I have been using the surf spray for the last few days trying to get the hair in the pictures.

My hair just turns out hard to manage and crispy.

Do you blow dry? Do you curl? Do you just stand next to the ocean and let the salt water wind do its magic?

Catherine- it took me about 4 days to get this right when I first started w the surf spray but it works. :)
You want to use it on damp hair, so depending on how much time you have you can let it air dry a while and the spray it in when it's damp. I also do it a second time as it's almost dry. Hold it away from your hair, like hair spray so you get an even mist and spray it all over.
You can blow dry- but not too too much, just enough so your hair's not sopping wet. I do always end up adding a bit more- as it's drying.
I read in in style mag also that some stylists use it just on models' roots for lift... so sometimes when my hair is already dry I also do that. It take some practice but you'll get it. Test it on a spring day, put down the windows in your car and go for a drive! Hopefully when you get back you'll have magically messy-in-a-good-way hair.
